Emily Bliss, MA, LMHC, is the founder of Unburdened Collective, where she helps women founders trade self-abandonment for self-stewardship. Diagnosed with lupus at 14, she spent over a decade in community mental health before opening her own clinical practice in Holden, Massachusetts. She learned the cost of running on empty the hard way — after a heart attack. Emily now works at the intersection of chronic illness, moral injury, and entrepreneurship. What most founders call burnout, she argues, is often something sharper: the strain of building inside systems that quietly ask you to betray your own values. Her Unburdened Life framework offers women a practical path between who they are right now and who they intend to become. A licensed mental health counselor in Massachusetts and Maine and a clinical supervisor with twelve years of experience, she works with women who are done proving they can carry it all. Check out her website for more information. She lives in New England with her husband and Jeff, her West Highland Terrier and unofficial chief of rest.
