Alison Kero of From Clutter to Confidence on Creating Systems That Support Focused, Intentional Growth

Alison Kero, founder of From Clutter to Confidence, has built her business around a simple but powerful idea: when your environment supports you, everything else becomes easier. With over 20 years of experience as a professional home organizer, she now works with female entrepreneurs to create systems that reduce overwhelm, boost productivity, and bring clarity to both home and work life. After launching her business in 2025, Alison has grown her visibility through social media, podcast appearances, and community-driven platforms, proving that consistent action and connection are key to building momentum.

Please share a brief introduction and your business:

I'm a professional home organizer with around 20 years of experience. I work with female entrepreneurs to help them gain clarity and confidence while creating systems within the home and office so they're surrounded by what supports them.

Take us back to when you launched? What was your marketing strategy?

I started from Clutter to Confidence in August 2025. My marketing strategy has been social media, podcast appearances, and Entreprenista. I am definitely growing my audience and getting out there to meet new people. Not as easy as I'd hoped, but definitely heading in the right direction.

Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?

No. I began my first business in 2004 after 8 years of trying to work for other companies and finding I kept getting stuck in a role that wasn't well suited for me.

What accomplishments are you the most proud of to date in your business?

I've been a guest on 5 podcasts in the last month. I'm grateful I was given the opportunity to share my expertise on other mediums.

What is one thing you wish you had known when you started your Entreprenista journey?

I'm still learning about how to utilize Entreprenista better. There are so many ways to use it to meet people and get business. I honestly just love how amazing everyone I've met here is and how supportive everyone is.

What did you do before starting your own business?

I've owned several home organizing companies over the years, worked in travel, and in finance. I've also been a blog writer and editor.

What made you take the leap to start your own business?

I do not fit into corporate culture. I love helping people transform their homes and lives by identifying and eliminating items that no longer support their goals and lives.

Do you have any recent wins?

One year ago I was bed-ridden and wondering what was next in my life. This year, I have a business I love, my health is getting better, and I'm excited for my future.

What's one app on your phone that you cannot live without?

Canva. I create webinars and social media posts using this app and it's incredibly helpful.

Who are your customers?

Female entrepreneurs who have a home-based office who are looking to create more structure in their work/life balance, reduce decision fatigue, and boost productivity.

What's your top productivity tip?

Create a task list that only includes 3 action items. If you add too many, you'll feel overwhelmed and let down if you don't get to them. 3 is doable and you can always do more if you have time.

Work time is for work only. Do home chores before or after work or during a break so you can maintain focus on your business.

What's your favorite business tool?

I would say Canva again. It's a great tool to create amazing pieces of marketing.

What's your approach to work-life balance?

I create a schedule that allows me to enjoy personal and work time. I start at the same time, and end at the same time. I shut down and tidy up my desk at the end of the day. I do home chores outside of work hours.

How do you avoid burn-out?

I take breaks. I shut down my business at the same time every day so I can focus on self-care. I have found activities outside of work I enjoy so I get out of my home and I'm interacting with others. And I listen to myself. If I'm feeling like I need time off, I take it rather than thinking I can't stop.
