Ana Arguello Named Taylor Jean Marketing After Her Daughters

The Miami founder spent 20 years in marketing before naming an experiential agency after her 2 daughters.

After 2 years leading business development at an agency, Ana Arguello received an unexpected offer: stay on for several months as a consultant at half her salary while helping the agency phase out her full-time role. That moment clarified where her experience and relationships belonged.

Ana Arguello is the CEO and founder of Taylor Jean Marketing, a minority- and woman-owned experiential marketing agency in Miami. She has spent over 20 years in marketing across beauty, fashion, food and beverage, technology, and wellness. A member of the Entreprenista League, she named the agency after her two daughters.

“I realized that if I could dedicate my experience, relationships, and energy to building someone else’s business, I could take those same strengths and invest them into building something of my own,” Ana says.

Seeing the gap from both sides

Ana has worked on both the corporate and agency sides of marketing, which meant she watched the same handoff go wrong from 2 different chairs. Brands and agencies were building experiential programs together without quite speaking the same language. She could name what each side needed before either side said it out loud.

That became the design brief for her own company. “I knew there was an opportunity to create an agency that better understood both perspectives, one that could think strategically like the client while executing creatively and efficiently like an agency,” she says.

The entrepreneurial instinct was already there. Taylor Jean Marketing is her second run at building something of her own, and she has funded it herself from the start, including a line of credit she paid off quickly.

Two activations, one set of assets

Her clearest recent proof point is a piece of production math. Taylor Jean Marketing produced 2 top-tier activations for a major corporation, and the team designed the first experience to transform into the second, reusing many of the same assets.

“By designing with adaptability in mind, we were able to maximize the client’s investment, reduce unnecessary production costs and waste, and still deliver 2 distinct, high-impact brand experiences,” she says. “We are a small but mighty team.”

Healthcare, a 401(k), and employee perks

Ask Ana what she is proudest of, and the answer is her team. She wanted a workplace where people feel valued and supported, and she treated benefits as proof. Taylor Jean Marketing offers healthcare, a 401(k), and additional employee perks, and she put it all in place while the agency was still small.

“I knew that if I wanted to stay competitive, build a high-performing team, and attract top talent, I needed to invest in my people,” she says. Building that foundation early shaped the company and the culture she had pictured from the beginning.

What she hires for is resourcefulness. “I’m a firm believer that everything is figureoutable,” she says. Skills can be taught. Curiosity and the determination to keep going until you find a way forward are harder to find.

Learning when to step away

Ana ends her workday at close to the same time every day and moves into what she calls “mom mode": cooking, cleaning, and being present with her girls. The shift is what makes the boundary hold. Her mind has to leave the business completely, which puts the never-ending to-do list down.

Burnout has still caught her. There have been stretches where she pushed herself to complete exhaustion, physically, mentally, and emotionally, and she has learned to recognize the point before she reaches it.

“I know that after an especially demanding stretch, if I don’t intentionally take time off to rest and recharge, my body will eventually force me to,” she says. So she steps away on purpose now, gives herself permission to rest, and comes back re-energized.

Growth, growth, and more growth

What comes next is a build-out. Ana is expanding the team, the services, and the support Taylor Jean Marketing gives its current and future clients, all of it aimed at brands that want to reach their consumers in real life.
