Josephine did not start out wanting to be an entrepreneur. She wanted to fix something.

"I didn't always know I wanted to be an entrepreneur," she says. "I just knew I wanted to help people and make things easier for them. I was waiting for the right opportunity, and when I started helping my family and friends find health and personal services and saw how difficult and stressful it was, I realized there had to be a better way."

That observation is what most healthcare platforms miss. The problem is not a shortage of providers. The problem is a shortage of trusted paths to the right provider at the right time.

"It was often challenging and stressful navigating long wait times and figuring out where to go for the right support," she says, "and it made me realize there had to be a better, simpler way for people across Canada and the USA to connect with the services they need."

No More Wait Lists is that simpler way.

The Background That Made the Launch Possible

Before launching the platform, Josephine spent years in the financial industry in leadership roles including Manager, Supervisor, and Client Services.

"Her background focused on delivering exceptional customer service, supporting client needs, problem-solving, and building strong relationships through professionalism and communication."

That foundation matters. A platform serving consumers looking for healthcare access does not need a tech-first founder. It needs a service-first founder who understands what trust actually feels like for the user on the other end of the screen.

The Lesson Built into the First Marketing Pivot

When No More Wait Lists first launched, Josephine hired a marketing company to help get the word out. She thought they would understand her vision and build momentum quickly.

"It didn't go as planned and I didn't see the results I was hoping for," she says, "so I eventually decided to step away from that partnership."

"I realized how important it is to work with people who truly understand the brand and mission. After that, I refocused my approach and made more intentional decisions about how to grow the platform moving forward."

For a mission-driven platform, vendor alignment is not optional. The marketing partner has to understand what the platform is actually trying to do, not just what category it falls into.

"Everyday consumers of all ages across Canada and the USA who are comfortable using technology to search for and connect with healthcare, wellness, mental health, and personal support services," Josephine says.

The breadth is intentional. The friction Josephine is fixing exists across every category where consumers need to find a real human provider quickly. By spanning medical, mental health, wellness, senior care, child care, beauty, and personal support, the platform becomes the trusted starting point regardless of which need brought a family there.

The Accomplishment That Means the Most

When asked what she is most proud of, Josephine does not name a metric.

"The accomplishment I'm most proud of to date is building No More Wait Lists into a platform that helps connect businesses with consumers who genuinely need their services," she says. "Being able to bridge that gap, making it easier for people across Canada and the USA to find and access healthcare, mental health, wellness, and personal support services, has been incredibly meaningful."

Even in its early growth stages, she says, seeing real connections being made and knowing the platform is helping reduce barriers for people is what she values most.

The Wins That Show Momentum Is Building

The traction is starting to show.

"In the past year, one of the biggest wins has been continued growth and engagement with No More Wait Lists," Josephine says. "The platform is gaining traction, and more people are starting to understand the value of connecting consumers directly with businesses that provide essential health and personal services."

She names the inflection point in plain terms.

"It feels like the public is starting to get it, and that validation has been a meaningful milestone."

Two-sided marketplaces live or die on that moment. The platform either reaches the point where both providers and consumers see the value, or it stalls. Josephine is at the point where both sides are starting to understand it.

The Lesson About How Long Growth Really Takes

The biggest reframe Josephine has internalized is about pace.

"One thing I wish I had known when I started my entrepreneurial journey with No More Wait Lists is how long real growth actually takes," she says. "At the beginning, I expected things to move much faster, but building awareness, trust, and a strong network takes time, consistency, and patience."

The principle she keeps returning to is one most founders only learn the hard way.

"Progress often happens quietly before it becomes visible, and staying committed through that early stage is what makes the biggest difference."

For a platform whose entire premise is trust, the quiet progress is the work.

How She Stays Productive

Josephine's productivity discipline is rooted in focus.

"My top productivity tip is to stay focused on what actually moves the business forward and not get distracted by tasks that don't create real progress," she says. "When building No More Wait Lists, I learned that consistency matters more than perfection. Small, steady actions every day add up over time."

She also prioritizes and simplifies.

"I focus on the most important tasks first, especially anything that improves the platform, strengthens relationships with providers, or helps users find services more easily."

And she protects clarity.

"I've learned that taking breaks and stepping back when needed actually improves clarity and decision-making, especially when building something long-term."

The Amazon app, she notes, is the one she relies on most. It saves time, whether the need is everyday essentials or business supplies, and lets her stay efficient without unnecessary delays.

Integration Over Balance

Josephine's framing of work-life balance is closer to integration.

"My approach to work-life balance is really more about work-life integration, especially while building No More Wait Lists," she says. "I don't think of it as perfectly separating the two, but instead making sure work doesn't take over everything and that I still have time to step back, reset, and focus on personal priorities."

She stays flexible. Some days the business needs more focus. Other days she intentionally slows down to recharge.

"I've learned that sustainability matters more than intensity, because building something long-term only works if you're able to stay consistent without burning out."

The Anti-Burnout Discipline

Burnout prevention is a structural choice, not a recovery tactic.

"I avoid burnout by pacing myself and accepting that building something like No More Wait Lists is a long-term process, not something that needs to be rushed," Josephine says. "I focus on steady progress instead of trying to do everything at once."

She also steps back when things feel overwhelming so she can reset and come back with a clearer mind.

"Prioritizing what truly matters helps reduce unnecessary pressure," she says, "and I've learned that rest is part of productivity, not the opposite of it."

What She Would Tell Newer Founders

The advice she offers is consistent with the way she has built the platform.

"Stay patient and consistent, especially in the beginning. Building something like No More Wait Lists takes time, and progress often happens slowly before it becomes visible."

She also pushes on purpose.

"Focus on solving a real problem, stay close to your purpose, and don't get discouraged by setbacks. They're part of the process. Also, be willing to learn as you go and adjust your approach when something isn't working."

For a founder who began the journey by helping family and friends through a frustrating system, that advice is hard-earned.

What's Next for No More Wait Lists

The roadmap is geographic and structural.

"What's next for No More Wait Lists is continued growth and expansion into additional countries beyond Canada and the USA," Josephine says. "Over the next few years, the focus is on scaling the platform, bringing more service providers on board, and making it even easier for consumers to connect with the health, mental health, wellness, and personal services they need."

The mission stays the same. The geographic footprint grows around it.
