Kary del Carmen Biro Bridges U.S. Businesses and Colombian Talent
June 25, 2026
Kary del Carmen Biro is the founder and CEO of Col Office Solutions, a remote staffing company that connects U.S. business owners with reliable, bilingual virtual assistant support from Colombia. A Colombian American dual citizen who has studied and worked in both countries, Kary built the company to be a bridge between two worlds. A newer member of the Entreprenista League, she is helping businesses grow while opening doors for talented professionals who are ready to contribute and build a better future.
"My goal is to be a bridge between these two worlds, helping businesses grow while opening doors for professionals who are ready to contribute, learn, and build a better future," Kary says.
Here is how a career in operations became a mission to connect talent with opportunity.
From chief administrative officer to founder
Kary did not always picture herself as an entrepreneur. Growing up with humble beginnings, she carried limited expectations and little confidence in her own abilities. The belief came slowly, built through education, work, and people who saw her potential before she did.
Before launching Col Office Solutions, her background was in administration, operations, and business management. As a chief administrative officer, she oversaw administrative processes, payroll, accounting support, human resources, multi-state compliance, and daily operations. She recently completed her MBA, which she counts as one of the most meaningful accomplishments of the past year. "It gave me the confidence, tools, and perspective to take the next step," she says.
The problem she set out to solve
Through her own journey, Kary understood how hard it can be for small business owners to afford full-time or even part-time support, especially early on. She also knew something else firsthand: Colombia is full of capable, educated, and hardworking professionals who do not always have access to international opportunities.
Col Office Solutions sits at the intersection of those two truths. The company connects U.S. businesses with bilingual professionals in Colombia who handle administrative work, customer service, travel planning, data entry, accounting, and social media. For Kary, the mission made the risk worth taking. "I wanted my work to create impact, help others, and contribute to something with purpose," she says.
Who Col Office Solutions serves
Kary's customers are business owners, entrepreneurs, and growing companies in the United States who need flexible, reliable support but may not be ready to hire a full-time employee. The company connects them with bilingual virtual assistants who keep daily operations organized and moving, working across U.S. time zones at an hourly rate with no hidden fees.
On the other side of the bridge are the professionals in Colombia, the people the company exists to lift. Kary describes them as ready to contribute, learn, and grow.
The first client and the proof it works
For an early-stage founder, the most meaningful moment often arrives quietly. For Kary, it was her first client.
"The accomplishment I am most proud of so far is getting my first client and seeing that the service truly works," she says. That client has had a fantastic experience with one of the company's virtual assistants. "It confirmed that Col Office Solutions is solving a real need, helping business owners receive reliable support while also creating opportunities for talented professionals in Colombia. Seeing that connection work in real life has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey."
She has also learned to be intentional with money. After an early lesson investing in a marketing campaign she could not yet sustain, she shifted toward building genuine relationships, networking, and sharing her story directly with the business owners who could benefit.
What's next
Kary's plan for Col Office Solutions is intentional growth. Over the next few years, she wants to grow the client base while continuing to provide human-centered support, and to create more meaningful opportunities for professionals in Colombia. Her ambition is for the company to become a trusted bridge between U.S. businesses and bilingual professionals, helping companies operate with less stress while helping more people access opportunities that can change their lives.
Her advice for aspiring founders comes back to people. "Make connections, grow your network, and always stay humble and willing to help others," she says. "You never know who may be able to offer guidance, encouragement, or open a door when you need it most." She adds that the same goes the other way, that we can also be that person for someone else.
