Lulu Guerrero Is Helping Women Reclaim Themselves Through The Hidden Hues of Motherhood
November 11, 2025
Please share a brief introduction and your business:
I’m Lulu Guerrero, Founder and Spiritual Shamanic Practitioner behind The Hidden Hues of Motherhood, a multidimensional platform dedicated to helping women reclaim the parts of themselves lost to survival, expectation, and silence. Through storytelling, community gatherings, and soul-based guidance, I’m redefining what it means to “mother yourself”, inviting women to nurture not only their children, but also their creativity, their businesses, their ideas, and their becoming.
Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?
No! Haha! Mostly because I didn’t know it was possible for me as an Ecuadorian immigrant, a first-generation college graduate, and first-generation everything. I never imagined entrepreneurship could be an option until I began my journey of reclamation and realized that my whole life had been preparing me for it. I’ve always been multifaceted, moving through worlds of teaching, performing arts, music, finance, customer service… without realizing how each of those paths was shaping me to one day build something of my own. Now, through The Hidden Hues of Motherhood, I get to merge all of my passions, offerings & gifts without having to fit into anyone else’s mold. This is the reason my parents came to this country and sacrificed everything! To give me the chance to create and live freely. Knowing that I’ve fulfilled not only their dreams & mine, but my ancestors’ wildest dreams, through this work, is beyond anything I could have imagined. And the cherry on top is having my sweet babies Estella and Lucas watching me do it.
Are you a mamaprenista?
As a mother of two and a business owner, my best advice is to release the illusion of balance and instead focus on harmony. I’ve learned that my business, my family, and my well-being are all interconnected, not separate. The same nurturing energy I pour into my children, I now also pour into myself and my purpose. Living cyclically has helped me tremendously: honoring the seasons of my body, my family, and my business. Some days call for creativity and expansion, others for rest and reflection. The more I allow myself to flow with those rhythms instead of resisting them, the more peace and fulfillment I find in both motherhood and entrepreneurship. Mother yourself so that you can harmoniously mother your kids, your ideas and your business ❤️
Take us back to when you launched? What was your marketing strategy?
When I first launched The Hidden Hues of Motherhood, I didn’t follow a traditional marketing strategy, I built a community. It all began through my podcast! Every person who walked into my studio and shared their expertise and story became part of the ripple that helped the movement grow. Each conversation led me to more women: healers, practitioners, entrepreneurs, mothers, creatives who were brilliant, authentic, and aligned. One of the biggest turning points came when I was invited to join The Next Generation Network by Gabriella Borrero, which opened new doors and connected me to even more incredible women who later became guests, collaborators, and friends. The podcast naturally became my most powerful form of marketing and networking; every episode was an introduction to another heart, another story, and another branch of the HHM community. So, that’s also why I’m here at Entreprenista League! The power of community is MAGIC!
What accomplishments are you the most proud of to date in your business?
Wow, this one’s hard to answer because the last six months since getting my LLC have been filled with so many beautiful wins, big and small. But my proudest moment to date has to be being a speaker, panelist, and performer at The Red Talk Forum 5th Edition at Flor da Vida The Womb Spa. Being invited by Deby Marchetti herself to co-create and be part of this 10-year project, an immersive and powerful experience, was deeply fulfilling because it allowed me to bring together all of my gifts: my voice, my writing, my music, my artistry, my spirituality, and my message, all in one project. Even more meaningful was sharing that space with some of the most inspiring, soul-driven women I’ve ever met, who have now become dear friends. The energy of that day, the connection, softness, impact and empowerment in that room, reminded me exactly why I do this work and what The Hidden Hues of Motherhood stands for!
What is one thing you wish you had known when you started your Entreprenista journey?
I wish I had known that I didn’t have to have it all figured out before starting. I spent so much of my life trying to fit into boxes or timelines that didn’t belong to me, when in reality, entrepreneurship is its own unfolding. I’ve learned that everything happens in divine timing and that your business grows at the same pace that you do. I also wish I’d known how powerful it is to lean on community; to ask for help, receive support, and let collaboration be part of the magic. You don’t have to do it all alone, and you don’t have to choose just one version of yourself to succeed.
When hiring, what is your go-to interview question?
When I’m hiring a freelancer, collaborator, or vendor for one of my events, I like to go deeper than just skills and experience. I always ask for their birth information and, with their permission, I look at their Human Design and natal chart. I also ask what day of their cycle they’re on! Haha i know it might sound unconventional, but for me, it’s essential. Understanding these energetic and cyclical aspects helps me see how we can best work together; how they naturally lead, create, and flow. I run my business based on alignment and energetic awareness, and I want anyone representing The Hidden Hues of Motherhood to feel seen, understood, and supported in their own rhythm too.
What did you go before starting your own business?
Before founding The Hidden Hues of Motherhood, I spent two years as a stay-at-home mom, mothering myself while raising my children. Prior to that, I was (and still am!) a professional singer with a background in musical theater. I also worked for 5 years in the corporate world as an Associate Financial Advisor. My life has always been multifaceted! I love that my business allows me to integrate all sides of who I am: the structure & strategy from my corporate background, the creativity, artistry & expression from the performing arts background and the soul work & passion of my spiritual shamanic practice.
What made you take the leap to start your own business?
In July 2024, I found myself at rock bottom: one year postpartum, disconnected from my body, and overwhelmed by postpartum rage, depression, and a series of unexplained health issues. No doctor could give me answers, and I realized that no one was coming to save me. That realization cracked me open! It became the moment I began reclaiming myself, MOTHERING MYSELF spiritually, emotionally, and creatively. I started to remember who I was beneath survival and silence. Through mediumship, ancestral lineage work, and inner child reclamation, I uncovered the parts of myself I had long abandoned. Those pieces were never missing; they were just waiting to be remembered. That journey led me to create The Hidden Hues of Motherhood in April 2025, a space where women could also come home to themselves. What began as a podcast to share the real, raw truths of motherhood has now grown into a multidimensional business with workshops, circles, and events that help women reconnect to their essence, their voice, and their light!
Do you have any recent wins?
Aside from joining the Entreprenista League and my experience at the Red Talk Forum, another major win for me this year was being invited to speak at The Next Generation Network Expansion Era Summit at Fairleigh Dickinson University. I stood on a stage in front of about 100 women entrepreneurs and, for the first time, shared my full story… MY WAY. I used my words, my voice, my writing, my poetry, and my storytelling to bring my truth to life, accompanied by my own visuals and presentation. My whole life, I’ve expressed myself through singing and performing, but this was the first time I told my story exactly as I wanted to. It was liberating, emotional, and an unforgettable milestone in both my personal and professional journey.
What's one app on your phone that you cannot live without?
LOL Spotify! Music is my medicine! Podcasts are my masterclasses. Audiobooks bring me peace.
Who are your customers?
I serve women and mothers who are seeking emotional, spiritual, feminine and creative reclamation. Many of my clients are heart-led entrepreneurs, healers, holistic practitioners and nurturers ready to reconnect with their intuition, body, and ancestral wisdom.
What's your top productivity tip?
I have three main productivity tips that have guided everything I do. First, don’t procrastinate. When inspiration strikes, act on it. I’ve always been someone who executes my ideas right away, and it’s been one of the biggest reasons for my success. If I have a vision for an event, I start planning and launching it at least two months in advance so I can bring it to life with intention and ease. Second, know yourself inside and out. Understand your human design, your natal chart, and your cyclical rhythm. Productivity isn’t about constant output, it’s about alignment! When you truly understand your energy, your emotional seasons, and your creative flow, you stop forcing and start harmonizing. And lastly, honor your cycles. There will be times for rest and times for creation. Rest is not the opposite of productivity! Rest is a necessity! When you plan around those natural rhythms instead of fighting against them, everything starts to feel more fluid, more fulfilling, and more divinely timed.
What's your favorite business tool?
Honestly, I couldn’t run my business without Canva. As a creative, visual entrepreneur, Canva allows me to bring the energy and emotion of The Hidden Hues of Motherhood to life through graphics, event visuals, and marketing materials. It gives me full creative freedom to design in alignment with my brand’s essence without needing a full design team, which is a game-changer for a multifaceted creative business like mine.
What's your approach to work-life balance?
For me, work-life balance is less about separation and more about integration. The Hidden Hues of Motherhood was born from my personal story, so my life and my work naturally flow into each other. Instead of trying to divide them, I focus on harmony, honoring my roles as a mother, creative, and entrepreneur with presence and intention. I’ve learned to build spaciousness into my days, allowing time for rest, play, and reflection alongside productivity. Living cyclically helps me honor both the seasons of my business and the seasons of my life, so I can nurture my family, my purpose, and myself without losing any part of me in the process.
How do you avoid burn-out?
Honestly, the same three productivity principles I live by are what help me avoid burnout! Especially living cyclically. Cyclical living has become the foundation of my business and my personal rhythm. Everything around us already moves in cycles: the seasons, the moon, even the way businesses operate quarterly, right? But the real magic happens when we honor our internal cycles just as much: the emotional, hormonal, and energetic seasons within us. By aligning with my human design, menstrual phases, and natal chart, I’ve learned to recognize when to create, when to rest, and when to simply be. When you live in sync with both your internal and external seasons, burnout becomes much less likely. You move with life, not against it!
What advice do you have for aspiring Entreprenistas?
If you don’t know where to start, or what your next step is, start by speaking your truth. There are endless ways to do that! For me, it’s through artistry: writing poetry, my book, shamanic chants, music, singing, performing, public speaking, podcasting, live videos, painting, even coloring. Expression is creation, and creation is reclamation. The womb, which I believe is the center of our creativity and inspiration, is where our truth lives. When you tap into your womb, you’re tapping into your soul’s essence. From that place, your best ideas and most aligned visions will naturally flow. Entrepreneurship isn’t just about strategy, it’s about creation. And creation begins the moment you find the courage to express what’s inside of you. That’s why I laugh when people ask “What’s next for HHM” because I say “I don’t know, I’ll have to ask my womb.” 🤣
