Meet Amy Benjamin Moore, Menopause Coaching Specialist
January 9, 2026
Please share a brief introduction and your business:
I’m Amy Benjamin Moore, M.S.Ed., Menopause Coaching Specialist (Girls Gone Strong), a lifelong educator turned menopause education and coaching specialist. I help women recognize what may be happening, identify patterns, and put words to their experience so they can have more productive conversations with their healthcare providers. I teach menopause through a whole-life lens: education, body, mind, relationships, and work. After 31 years in education and leadership, I recently retired and stepped into a mission-driven second chapter. I help women in menopause move beyond Dr. Google and guesswork to reclaim and feel like themselves again, breaking the generational silence that left our mothers and grandmothers to suffer alone.
Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?
I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit. I knew my next chapter needed to be fulfilling, meaningful, and rooted in teaching and helping others. Entrepreneurship became the way I could serve women on a bigger scale.
Take us back to when you launched? What was your marketing strategy?
I led with education and consistency. I shared relatable, research-informed content, built community, and offered practical resources that gave women immediate next steps. I expected a learning curve with tech and systems, but I didn’t expect how quickly women would respond with, “That’s me.” Women have been expected to push through for too long, and they are ready for real support.
What accomplishments are you the most proud of to date in your business?
I’m proud that I built an ecosystem women can actually use. That includes my Menopause Tracking App, the Menopause Mastery Toolkit, and my resource on how to talk with your doctor about menopause. These tools help women organize what they’re noticing, identify patterns, and bring clearer information to doctor visits with greater confidence. I’m also proud of my upcoming book, Hot Flashes & Cold Truths, a humorous, science-backed guide filled with education and strategies.
What is one thing you wish you had known when you started your Entreprenista journey?
I wish I had known about this group earlier!
What did you go before starting your own business?
I spent 31 years in education, including leadership roles, and I added a professional foundation in menopause coaching by earning my Menopause Coaching Specialist certification through Girls Gone Strong (GGS). My lived experience navigating perimenopause, combined with that training, helps me take complex information and turn it into clear, practical support women can use in real life.
What made you take the leap to start your own business?
When I finally learned I was in perimenopause, after being dismissed and trying to piece things together on my own, I realized many women were in the same boat. I kept thinking about other women, and about my daughters and nieces. What if they could enter this season informed and knowing what to look for or expect? That question became my purpose, and my business was born from it.
Do you have any recent wins?
My biggest wins this past year have to be developing two apps for my audience, walking the red carpet to represent a voice for menopause at The Million Dollar Room docuseries event, and finishing a book!
What's one app on your phone that you cannot live without?
Canva. I create on desktop, but it so easy to have everything in the app when I am away from home or creating away from my office.
Who are your customers?
My customers are women who are starting to recognize they may be in perimenopause or menopause, or who feel blindsided by changes they did not expect. They’re in a packed season of life with careers, family responsibilities, children, aging parents, or often all of the above. They want clarity, support, and a plan that fits real life, not another vague “maybe you are just anxious” answer.
What's your top productivity tip?
Making top three priorities for each day and marking them off when done, so satisfying.
What's your favorite business tool?
Gamma.ai is a fantastic tool to create slideshows from a video, Google file, or transcript! It provides graphics, charts or graphs, and you can add audience participation if you would like. This is a huge timesaver.
What's your approach to work-life balance?
I plan breaks throughout my day. I take lunch! Having a definite beginning and end to my day has helped me stay present in my evenings with my family.
How do you avoid burn-out?
Learn to say no. Define your day, when will it begin and end? No weekends if possible.
What advice do you have for aspiring Entreprenistas?
Be bolder than you think you should be, follow your instincts, and don't second-guess yourself.
