Nelly Ramirez Created The Catalyst In Her for High-Achieving Women

The corporate leader launched her company in August 2026 to help women who look successful on paper reconnect with who they are.

The Catalyst In Her is built around a single question: “What happens when you become so good at being who everyone needs that you lose touch with who you are?” Nelly Ramirez had to answer it for herself first.

Nelly Ramirez is the founder of The Catalyst In Her, a personal and professional development company for high-achieving women who look successful on paper, but feel exhausted from performing and over-functioning. She came to the United States at 9, learned English in 6 months, and became her family’s translator. Today she is a member of the Entreprenista League, and she launched her company in August 2026 while still working full-time in corporate leadership.

“The expertise I built before entrepreneurship still matters; I am simply learning how to translate it into a new context,” Nelly says.

Her path from family translator to founder came down to the skill she learned first: translation.

An insurance agency job at 15

“For most of my life, I was told who to be and what to do,” Nelly says. Her parents wanted her goals modest and her life secure, “to be safe and be comfortable,” as she puts it. “So my dream was to climb the corporate ladder, and I was good at it.”

She started working in an insurance agency at 15 and built a career of more than 20 years at a Fortune 50 insurance and financial services company, with leadership roles across operations, claims, technology, business development, risk, compliance, and enterprise transformation.

She helped leaders turn ambiguity into clarity, structure, and momentum. She also serves on the board of directors at International Community School in Metro Atlanta.

The author of her own life

“I built a successful career and a life that looked impressive from the outside, yet I felt exhausted, disconnected, and more like a bystander than the author of my own life,” Nelly says.

Rebuilding her relationship with herself took years. Along the way, she recognized how many accomplished women were carrying the same invisible burden. “They needed space, language, tools, and support to hear themselves again,” she says.

She saw a gap between traditional professional development, which often asks women to perform better, and the deeper work of helping them decide how they want to live and lead. “I knew my experience could become a bridge for other women,” she says.

The dependable person in every room

The Catalyst In Her is built for high-achieving professional women: leaders, executives, first-generation women, immigrants, oldest daughters, caretakers, and the dependable person in every room. As Nelly puts it, they tend to say “I should be happy,” or “I don’t know what I want anymore,” or “Everyone depends on me, but no one asks what I need.”

The Catalyst In Her gives them a blueprint to stop performing, examine the expectations shaping their choices, and rebuild self-trust. The aim is a life that feels as successful on the inside as it looks on the outside.

A 12-week cohort and a free monthly hour

The flagship offer is a 12-week cohort experience, and each cohort is capped at 8 women. Off Duty: An Unmasked Hour is a free monthly session that lets women encounter the work before making a larger commitment. The Circle, a private community with free resources, monthly calls with experts, and connection opportunities, goes live in January 2027.

“I am most proud that I am not letting fear deter me from helping other women,” she says. “Most importantly, women are beginning to recognize themselves in the message.”

Part of the capital you bring

Nelly is still working through her fears about this new role, and she has started to see herself as a founder. “The work itself feels deeply familiar: listening closely, finding the real problem beneath the surface, and creating a path forward,” she says.

“Confidence is often the result of keeping promises to yourself in public, one small action at a time,” she says. “Stay curious. Talk to the people you hope to serve.”

She also wants new founders to bring their whole history with them. “Your career, lived experience, relationships, and hard-earned wisdom are part of the capital you bring with you,” she says.

A sister business in Spanish

Nelly expects the first cohort to become a catalyst for the ones that follow. She wants to help women all over the world, starting with a sister business that offers the same experiences entirely in Spanish. Within a year, she hopes to dedicate herself to the mission full time.
