Symphany Rochford empowers women through beauty, wellness, and The Sovereign Suite

September 4, 2025

Please share a brief introduction about yourself and your business

I’m Symphany Rochford, a licensed esthetician and founder of The Sovereign Suite, a beauty and wellness brand offering virtual skin consultations, personalized self-care tools, and beauty rituals that support women in feeling confident in their skin. I’m currently working toward expanding into product development with the goal of launching a skincare and makeup line designed to merge inner and outer beauty.

Who are your customers?

I serve women of all backgrounds who are ready to invest in their self-care and glow from the inside out. My clients include beauty lovers, wellness seekers, and women who want to feel more confident, empowered, and intentional about how they show up in the world. Many are busy professionals, new to skincare, or navigating personal transitions and looking for support.

What was your background prior to starting your own business?

Before launching The Sovereign Suite, I worked in the beauty industry for several years with experience at Sephora, Estée Lauder, and in a medispa setting. My background includes retail management, education, makeup artistry, and esthetics. I’ve also built training programs and led sales initiatives, which helped shape my understanding of client experience and brand development.

What made you take the leap to start your own business?

After years of helping others feel beautiful through makeup and skincare, I realized that true transformation starts within. I wanted to create a space where women could feel seen, supported, and empowered to love themselves fully. My own healing journey inspired me to blend beauty with wellness and offer something deeper than surface-level solutions. The Sovereign Suite was born from a desire to redefine what it means to glow, helping others reconnect with themselves through beauty, intention, and self-worth.

Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?

I always knew I wanted to create something of my own, but I didn’t have the language for it early on. Over time, I realized that I was most fulfilled when building something meaningful, especially when I could guide the vision and make an impact on others. Entrepreneurship became the natural path once I saw that I could blend my passion for beauty, wellness, and empowerment into something purposeful.

What is the biggest challenge you have encountered along the way so far and what have you learned from it?

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced has been overcoming self-doubt and staying confident in my vision when things don’t move as quickly as I hoped. Building something from the ground up can feel isolating at times, especially without immediate validation or results. I’ve learned that consistency matters more than perfection, and that confidence is built through action. I also learned the importance of community, asking for help, and staying grounded in why I started. The more I trust the process, the more momentum I build.

What accomplishment are the most proud of to date in your business?

One of the biggest challenges has been overcoming self-doubt and imposter syndrome. Building something from the ground up without a blueprint can feel overwhelming, especially when comparing yourself to more established brands. I’ve learned that confidence doesn’t always come first ,action builds confidence. I also learned the importance of leaning into community, asking for help, and staying rooted in my purpose even when results take time.

What's next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?

Over the next few years, my goal is to scale The Sovereign Suite from a service-based brand into a hybrid model with a curated product line. I’m working toward launching our first physical product—a luxury skincare item—and eventually expanding into makeup. I also plan to host live events and workshops, grow our digital presence, and build out a tech-integrated skin consultation experience. Long-term, I see The Sovereign Suite on retail shelves while continuing to serve clients virtually with high-touch care and intentional beauty tools.

What is one thing you wish you had known when you started your Entreprenista journey?

I wish I had known how powerful community truly is. When I started, I felt like I had to figure everything out on my own. I didn’t realize how many people were willing to support, collaborate, and share their experiences. Being part of a community like this reminds me that I don’t have to do it alone, and that leaning into relationships can open doors I never would have imagined.

What is your favorite business tool or solution and why?

One of my favorite business tools is Canva. It has been essential for creating branded visuals, client materials, social media content, and presentations without needing a full design team. It allows me to bring my brand to life consistently and professionally while saving time and money. As a founder juggling multiple roles, it’s one tool I rely on daily.

What advice do you have for aspiring Entreprenistas?

Give yourself permission to start before you feel fully ready. Clarity and confidence come with action, not perfection. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, share your story, and lean into community. There is so much power in being seen and supported by other women who are building too. Stay rooted in your purpose, and trust that the vision was given to you for a reason.
