Desireé Arcisz on Building a Profitable, Debt-Free Solo Legal Practice
December 19, 2025
Please share a brief introduction and your business:
I am Desireé Arcisz, a solo attorney serving entrepreneurs, small businesses, and workplace professionals with strategic legal support.
Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?
Yes. I come from a family of entrepreneurs.
Are you a mamaprenista?
Yes! I have a 3 month old. Naps are key, again. But creating a schedule when you can, asking for help when you can't and paying for convenience. (Cleaning, childcare, etc.)
Take us back to when you launched? What was your marketing strategy?
When I started my business, I utilized my connections in venture capital that I built. At first, it did go as planned and over time I turned to LinkedIn to build thought leadership. I had an okay steady book of business, but not monthly recurring revenue.
What accomplishments are you the most proud of to date in your business?
That I have been able to pay for my needs for my business and haven't had to take out loans or credit cards to float it.
What is one thing you wish you had known when you started your Entreprenista journey?
No one is coming to do it for you, save you or otherwise. You have to be all in on your business.
What did you go before starting your own business?
I have worked in HR, recruiting, venture capital and sales.
What made you take the leap to start your own business?
Working with VC backed businesses who don't have access to tools they need, including proper legal representation because of cost. I decided I should be that for them.
Do you have any recent wins?
I started and never gave up, no matter how little I thought I was doing at the time. That goes for my business and my LinkedIn strategy.
What's one app on your phone that you cannot live without?
Ovia Parenting is my go to right now because of the baby. I track everything. It helped me get more comfortable with my parenting journey as a first time parent.
Who are your customers?
Entrepreneurs, small businesses, startups, individuals in the workplace, non- profits
What's your top productivity tip?
Do it in spurts.
What's your favorite business tool?
Hubspot. Everything is in one place.
What's your approach to work-life balance?
Making lists for myself that are realistic.
How do you avoid burn-out?
Naps are key
What advice do you have for aspiring Entreprenistas?
