Gabriela Fiorentino: Empowering Success and Innovation at Nest Earth

November 5, 2025

Please share a brief introduction about yourself and your business

I’m Gabi Fiorentino, mom of two and the founder of Nest Earth. Nest Earth is a community where parents and trusted experts come together to make sustainable, healthy living feel simpler and more supported. Parents join for guidance and encouragement as they create healthier homes, while experts contribute knowledge, resources, and collaboration. At its core, Nest Earth is an ecosystem built on connection: parents supporting one another, experts offering trusted insight, and families raising the next generation in a way that honors both their health and the planet’s future.

Who are your customers?

Parents of young kids who care deeply about their families’ health and the planet but often feel stuck between convenience and their values. They want clarity, not more noise. We also bring in aligned experts—nutritionists, coaches, educators, wellness practitioners, sustainability founders—who want to share their knowledge and connect directly with families. Together they create the ecosystem that makes Nest Earth thrive.

What was your background prior to starting your own business?

I worked in architecture and urban design and became a LEED AP, focusing on sustainability and resilience. Over time, I expanded into sustainability strategy, supporting schools and businesses in taking measurable steps toward healthier practices. That experience gave me the tools to now translate sustainability into everyday choices for families.

What made you take the leap to start your own business?

Motherhood. One night, while nursing my son, I was buried in research on toxins, so-called “eco-friendly” swaps, and parenting advice that never seemed to add up. I felt overwhelmed, confused, and completely alone. That was the moment I realized the truth: I was raising the future while unknowingly polluting his future. I knew if I was feeling this way, other parents were too. That pushed me to create what I couldn’t find—a trusted, supportive community where parents could access clear guidance, real connection, and encouragement.

Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?

No. I thought I would stay in design and sustainability consulting. Entrepreneurship wasn’t the plan, but it became the way to combine my skills, my values, and the kind of impact I wanted to have.

What is the biggest challenge you have encountered along the way so far and what have you learned from it?

Clarity. In the beginning, I tried to do everything—consulting, events, membership—and people were confused about what Nest Earth actually was. I’ve learned that if you don’t make it simple, people tune out. Clarity is everything.

What accomplishment are the most proud of to date in your business?

The community itself. Parents telling me “I feel less alone” and experts saying “I’ve built real connections here.” That’s the win.

Do you have any recent wins from the last year that you'd like to celebrate with our community?

Yes. We refined the Nest Earth membership, expanded the Experts Circle, and launched curated family experiences that bring parents and kids together around sustainability and wellness. I also had opportunities to share our mission on podcasts and stages, which has helped grow awareness of the community.

What's next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?

More curated family experiences, more trusted experts, and deeper partnerships. Nest Earth will keep growing as the go-to hub for parents who want to raise kids in healthier homes while caring for the planet.

What is your top productivity tip?

Batch everything. Grouping tasks saves time and stops the constant context switching that kills focus. And when possible, I give myself short, clear deadlines so things don’t drag out.

On the flip side, how do you avoid burnout?

I step outside. Ten minutes barefoot in the grass with my kids resets me faster than any productivity hack. I’ve also learned to say no to things that drain me, even if they sound “good on paper.”

What is your approach to work-life balance / integration?

Balance doesn’t exist. I treat it like blending instead of balancing. Some days Nest Earth gets more of me, other days my family does. I’ve stopped chasing perfect balance and started honoring the season I’m in.

What is one thing you wish you had known when you started your Entreprenista journey?

That clarity comes from action. You won’t have the full picture when you start, and that’s okay. The only way forward is to take the messy first steps.

What's the one app on your phone you absolutely cannot live without and why?

Notion. It’s my external brain. Everything from business projects to meal planning lives there.

What is your favorite business tool or solution and why?

Circle. It gives Nest Earth members and experts a calm, intentional space to connect, without the noise of social media.

What advice do you have for aspiring Entreprenistas?

Start before you’re ready. Share your story. Trust that it matters. Waiting for perfect is just another way of staying stuck.
