How Janet Lin Zeldin Built Little Bit Direct to Give Women Dresses That Actually Work Like Activewear

April 27, 2026

Meet Janet Lin Zeldin, founder of Little Bit Direct, a women’s dress brand focused on making getting dressed effortless. Janet spent more than fifteen years designing activewear, most recently at Lululemon where she led the launch of its Asia Design Edition based in Hong Kong, before bringing that same performance-driven mindset to everyday dresses, with built-in bras, shapewear, and panties so women feel as good as they look.

She had always known she wanted to be a founder, from Day 1 of her career in fashion design, and when a move back to the US for family meant leaving her job behind, the path finally cleared. Little Bit Direct launched only two months ago, and Janet is deep in the honest, unglamorous middle of things, still figuring out social, still learning, still adjusting. What the brand already represents, though, is bigger than a product drop. These are dresses designed to put a woman’s needs first, with body-positivity, confidence, and self-acceptance stitched into the construction.

Please share a brief introduction and your business:

I’m Janet Lin Zeldin, founder of Little Bit Direct, a women’s dress brand focused on making getting dressed effortless. After 15+ years designing activewear, I started applying that same performance mindset to everyday dressing—creating dresses with a built-in bra, shapewear, and panties, so women can feel as good as they look.

N/A

Are you a mamaprenista?

I am! I have incorporated my 5 year old into my business so that he can be a part of the work and start his financial future. He gets a W2, etc. so that he start to understand the relationship between work, money, investing, and compounding interest.

ABSOLUTELY.

What accomplishments are you the most proud of to date in your business?

Still figuring this one out.

What advice do you have for aspiring Entreprenistas?

Just start.

Janet’s story is a reminder that the best product ideas often come from spending years inside one world, in her case activewear, and then carrying what you have learned about fit, function, and performance into a completely different category. We are so excited to have her in the Entreprenista community and cannot wait to watch Little Bit Direct continue to grow.
