How Ruth Danoff Built Arctic Undies into a Voice for Women Diagnosed with ADHD Later in Life

May 7, 2026

Meet Ruth Danoff, founder of Arctic Undies, part of RPD Enterprises alongside her brand notRUTHless. After being diagnosed with ADHD at 50, Ruth turned what she calls the messy, magical process of self-discovery into a body of work for other women navigating the same revelation later in life.

What makes Ruth's path stand out is the way she refuses to soften the story. She is candid about the shame, the overwhelm, and the years she spent thinking she was broken before she finally understood she was simply wired differently. That honesty is exactly what her audience trusts.

Please share a brief introduction and your business:

I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 50, a revelation that transformed my life. Suddenly, what felt like personal failure — emotional overwhelm, self-doubt, and difficulty focusing — made perfect sense. That clarity allowed me to replace shame with self-compassion and frustration with understanding.

My journey through the messy, magical process of self-discovery is what fuels my work today. I help other women see that they are not broken — they are simply wired differently. Through my guidance, women learn to embrace their uniqueness, navigate life with more confidence, and approach their challenges with self-kindness. My mission is to turn what was once confusion and struggle into clarity, empowerment, and a renewed sense of purpose.
