Stephany Diaz: Empowering Success and Innovation at The Plump Room

November 5, 2025

Please share a brief introduction about yourself and your business

My name is Stephany Diaz, APRN & I am the founder of The Plump Room - a boutique, high-end medical aesthetics practice in Coral Gables. Our mission is to merge artistry with advanced science to deliver precision injectables, device-based treatments, and curated skincare in a space that feels both elevated and personal. Beyond patient care, I’m passionate about mentorship and helping other injectors grow from practitioner to CEO, creating ripple effects of empowered women in aesthetics.

Who are your customers?

Our customers are women and men who value elevated beauty and long-term self-investment. They’re professionals, entrepreneurs, and community leaders who want to look refreshed, natural, and confident without compromising luxury or safety. Many are loyal patients who return because they know our care extends beyond the treatment chair & we’re about transformation inside and out.

What was your background prior to starting your own business?

I began my career as a Registered Nurse, working in fast-paced hospital and corporate medical environments. While I gained invaluable clinical skills, I felt like a cog in the machine, measured by metrics rather than meaningful impact. That push led me to finishing my masters to become a Nurse Practitioner, finding my first job in aesthetics & eventually leading to starting my own practice. I discovered not only a way to merge artistry with medicine but also an opportunity to build something of my own.

What made you take the leap to start your own business?

I reached a point where I knew my worth couldn’t be tied to someone else’s numbers. I wanted to create a space where patients feel seen, cared for, and transformed and where I had full control over the standard of excellence. What started as a leap of faith became The Plump Room: a brand built from the ground up with vision, grit, and heart. I wanted to redefine what an aesthetic experience could look like - luxurious, bespoke, and deeply personal.

Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?

I didn’t always know I wanted to be an entrepreneur. I actually thought I would become a veterinarian and never imagined myself in business ownership. What I did know was that I wanted a career where I could lead with impact and create meaningful change. As I grew in nursing and eventually discovered aesthetics, the desire to build something of my own became undeniable. Entrepreneurship revealed itself when I realized I was meant to design both a life and a business on my own terms.

What is the biggest challenge you have encountered along the way so far and what have you learned from it?

The biggest challenge has been learning how to balance rapid growth while maintaining the boutique, high-touch experience I promise every patient. Scaling without losing intimacy is difficult, but it pushed me to build systems, invest in the right team, and learn to trust delegation. I discovered that growth does not have to mean sacrificing quality. When you stay rooted in your mission, expansion actually enhances the experience rather than diminishing it.

What accomplishment are the most proud of to date in your business?

I am most proud of building The Plump Room entirely from the ground up and transforming a vision into a recognized, elevated brand in aesthetics. Every time a patient walks through our doors and feels instantly cared for, seen, and empowered, I am reminded that this dream became reality. I am also deeply proud of creating The Plump Room Academy, where I now mentor injectors worldwide. Turning my own journey into a roadmap for others has been one of the most rewarding accomplishments of my career.

Do you have any recent wins from the last year that you'd like to celebrate with our community?

This past year has been filled with milestones worth celebrating. The Plump Room officially moved to its new, larger location in Coral Gables and has quickly become recognized as a boutique destination for elevated aesthetics. We introduced advanced technologies like Moxi and BBL HEROic, as well as hired our first Skin & Device Expert, offering uniquely crafted combination device-facial treatments. Beyond treatments, the launch of The Plump Room Academy has been an incredible win, allowing me to mentor injectors worldwide and create a true community of empowered entrepreneurs in aesthetics.

What's next for your business? What can we expect to see over the next few years?

The next chapter for The Plump Room is about growth, impact, and community. We are expanding into perhaps a bigger location and further elevating the luxury experience for our patients. On the mentorship side, The Plump Room Academy will grow into retreats, global training opportunities, and a larger platform for injectors who want to step into entrepreneurship with clarity and confidence. Over the next few years, my focus is on building a movement where injectors and patients alike feel seen, inspired, and empowered.

What is your top productivity tip?

My top productivity tip is to time block. My second is exercising in the morning.

On the flip side, how do you avoid burnout?

Schedule self-care on your calendar like they’re appointments you can’t miss!

What is your approach to work-life balance / integration?

The faster we understand that entrepreneurship is a part of our lives and not separate, the easier things will feel. It’s about creating a flow that’s harmonious. Some weeks, I work on Sunday. Other weeks I’m off Wednesday & Thursday. It’s about unlearning the 9-5/ clock in clock out mentality.

What is one thing you wish you had known when you started your Entreprenista journey?

I wish I had known how selfless, empowering & relatable it felt to find such a community. I feel as though the values really align with me & I feel heard in wanting growth, balance & feel validated in seeking new experiences!

What's the one app on your phone you absolutely cannot live without and why?

ChatGPT/ AI - he has been my office manager, executive assistant, advice confidant & grammar checker all of this past year.

What is your favorite business tool or solution and why?

My favorite business tool has become creating processes and SOP’s - building the habit to make absolutely everything duplicatable in my business and standardizing everything I do in order to delegate efficiently and eventually run the business, without working in it. The transition is hard but on the other side, it’s all sunshine.

What advice do you have for aspiring Entreprenistas?

Entreprenistas works if you work it. Interact with others, contribute and stay visible. This isn’t intended to be just a bulletin board, it’s a space where women of all career levels and backgrounds can collaborate and lift each other up.
