When the Energy Feels Too Heavy (and You’re Tempted to Quit)

Let’s be real: entrepreneurship is not for everyone. It’s messy. It’s unpredictable. It takes way longer and costs way more than you ever thought it would. While many founders focus on becoming a 6-figure business, I’d argue that the biggest flex is more about your grit and energy alignment to persevere when times get tough.

I’ve been an entrepreneur half of my life, and online for nearly a decade. There are days when I feel like you deserve more success. “I put in all the work, so why aren’t people signing up!?” The truth is sometimes they don’t…and it can hurt. But entrepreneurship is a journey in bringing something from your imagination into reality, to see what others don’t see. We’re always going to have self-doubt and yet, those who succeed are the ones who can learn to navigate the highs and lows.

Here are 5 top ways you can thrive when the going gets tough.

#1 Remove Post-Launch Awkwardness, Ask For Feedback

It’s really easy to take lack of sign ups personally thinking:

“They don’t like me.”

“They don’t want this offer.”

“I’m not good enough.”

I’ve experienced epic launches when people sign up organically by the hundreds or thousands, the energy is potent, and the sales are flowing. I’ve also felt the sting of the opposite; few sign ups, a couple clicks on your offer, and sub-par sales.

Getting back up after a devastation like that can be really challenging. But this is how you get better.

One of the biggest mistakes newer entrepreneurs make is NOT asking why your people didn’t buy…

Yes, it’s awkward, but only at first.

When you ask for feedback, then you get to know exactly where you can improve next time.

5 Awesome Questions To Ask Post-Launch:

I use a simple Google Form with multiple choice and fill-in-the-blank questions. You can also invite folks on a group or individual Zoom call to collect this feedback.

1. What was the #1 reason you decided not to join/purchase this time?

(Gives you their biggest objection directly: price, timing, unclear value, etc.)

2. Was there anything missing that would have made this offer a “must-have” for you?

(Helps identify gaps in features, bonuses, or positioning.)

3. How clear was the messaging about what you’d get and the results you could expect?

(Reveals if your copy, content, or promise didn’t land.)

4. If you could change one thing about this offer (pricing, format, timing, support), what would it be?

(Opens the door to practical feedback without leading them.)

5. Where are you right now in your journey?

(Identifies whether they’re a “not yet,” a “never,” or a “wrong fit”, which is critical for segmenting future offers.)

#2 Focus On Your Mindset And Spiritual Practices

Your business is a catalyst of your spiritual growth. At just about any point in your journey of entrepreneurship, it could feel like climbing straight uphill. You’re finding your voice, your audience, and your message. It’s exhausting, time consuming, and typically pressurized because you’re trying to make money when you really don’t know what you’re doing.

Even if you’ve been at it for a few years or more, and you’ve made some sales you could be ready to scale and reach more people. Your spiritual practices will guide you to your next level of growth more than you know.

All of the mindset and spiritual work you’re doing on yourself helps you as a person evolve which by default evolves your brand as well. Next thing you know, instead of your company serving one audience, now you’re serving an entirely different audience and that means a full re-brand…back to the basics you go! It’s an incredibly humbling process.

In entrepreneurship, your mindset and spiritual practices are paramount for helping you navigate. Every business goes through this evolution and the more inner work you’re willing to do, the more this might happen. And it’s a good thing.

I recommend my brand new meditation “Reboot For Abundance” to clear your energy field, get your mindset aligned to your abundant future, and feel your best within minutes! Try it out in the Mastery & Ascension App, and watch miracles unfold!

#3 Don’t Let Social Media Get You Down

If you’ve been around the block for as long as I have, you’ve seen the shift from social media to now what experts are calling “interest media”. I remember a time when I could go live on Facebook with over 50 people excitedly watching and interacting. I’d make offers to my services and people would buy. I’d close my livestream and open my email to see multiple sales. It felt like the energy I was putting out was coming back to me immediately.

Even static posts would get engagement! Now? It’s crickets, and it’s disorienting.

As a creator, I’m always paying attention to what’s working now…because the algorithm is a moving target (and that can get frustrating really quick).

I believe, if you feel it’s your calling to serve others in some way, just do it. Help someone in your community, reach out to one person online, write an article, send an email, show up even if no one is watching you, yet.

Show up and serve because, as Marianne Williamson writes in “The Law of Divine Compensation” that divine love can restore and replenish what’s missing. That love is the true source of abundance.

Simply put, focus on love and it comes back to you.

Also, listen closely to your energy. If you feel heavy and constricted in your body when you think about TikTok, maybe it’s time to take a break. If you’re juggling all the platforms, maybe just focus on one for 30 days and see how that feels. Hopefully lighter, and when you’re feeling lighter, you’re more likely to be embodied as your best self, which can help you connect more deeply with your target audience!

#4 Go For Connection Over Perfection

As leaders, there’s such a fine line of sharing your hero’s journey from “rags to riches” and being honest with how tough it’s really been.

What I’ve discovered is that people just want authentic connection. They don’t need perfection. Letting people know that while it’s great to get advice from others who came before you, remember that THEIR journey is just that. You can’t compare yourself to anyone else but YOU.

When you look back at your life a year ago, ask yourself:

  • How have you improved?
  • What have you learned?
  • Who have you grown into?
  • What’s been your biggest lesson learned?
  • Why did you need to experience the setbacks you did?
  • Where do you see yourself growing over the next 5 years?
  • Who is supporting your growth?

#5 In Nature, Nothing Thrives Alone

Plants, animals, and fungi are all coexisting in an interconnected ecosystem. Literally, the circle of life. Nature shows us that we can’t thrive without others. We need community.

There will be days when you’re riding the wave and business is just flowing the way it should. Other days, you’re left questioning your every decision and considering quitting. That’s when you need to lean into the support of peers, coaches, and a community that can be honest with you and guide you when you feel alone.

Everyone loves the highlight reel of business success, but few talk about the nights you cry on the floor, the partners (family and friends) who don’t get it, or the constant self-doubt.

I’m sharing this because: I’m in it, too.

I’m writing my first book, shifting my business model, and showing up for the leaders of the world. And yes... Some days feel heavy.

But here’s the thing… I know how to move energy.

- I know how to shift fear into clarity.

- I know how to turn breakdowns into breakthroughs.

And if you’re in that space right now, I can help you do it too.

If you’ve been riding the emotional rollercoaster of entrepreneurship and you feel like you’re at a crossroads, you’re in the right place!

I’ve opened a few spots for private coaching sessions this month.
