Bea Dixon struggled with bacterial vaginosis for almost a year and went to all kinds of doctors and products to heal it. It wasn’t until she connected with her late grandmother, whom she had never met, in a dream that she found her cure. Her grandmother gave her a recipe on a piece of paper and told her to memorize it, and when Bea woke up and made the formula, she found it was the miracle product she had been looking for. This formula was the first product sold by her business, The Honey Pot Company.
Today, Bea joins us to share her experience. She emphasizes the importance of grit and focus, and she shares her experience raising venture capital, explaining why you don’t always need it. She talks about the value of going with the flow and why entrepreneurship is never as glamorous as it looks on social media. Bea shares her early challenges in growing the company and how her past experience taught her to juggle all of the jobs that come with being an entreprenista. She talks about why she doesn’t like to dwell on mistakes but is instead grateful for them, as well as the importance of only focusing on what you control. She discusses how her vision for the company has changed over the years and why investing in your team is incredibly important, especially when you’re growing fast. She also shares how her role has evolved over the years.
“If I’m not reaching for excellence, what the fuck am I doing?”
