How Kristina Bartold Built High Vibe Women: A Fast-Growing Event Community for Women Founders
July 31, 2026
Kristina Bartold-Sorgota is the co-founder of The Social Snippet, a podcasting and social media agency, and the co-founder of High Vibe Women, a community and event series for women founders with deep roots in Canada. A longtime Entreprenista League member, Kristina has spent the past year watching High Vibe Women grow from a promising idea into one of the most in-demand rooms for women founders in Canada. This fall it reaches its biggest scale yet. Here is how she built it, and what she has learned about growing something that lasts.
A year of momentum
The last year changed the trajectory of High Vibe Women. “We’ve gained so much momentum over this last year,” Kristina says. “We did a Business Insider piece. We’re reaching women from coast to coast. People from the [United] States are coming.” The proof showed up in ticket sales long before the doors opened. “We were 7 months out and we had over 50% of our tickets sold, because there was just so much momentum around what was happening.” None of it came from a new formula. It came from the same thing that worked from the start: highlighting incredible women and giving them a reason to be in the same place.
The biggest event yet
On October 22nd, High Vibe Women expects more than 200 women at its largest gathering to date. Kristina isn't focused on starting over or completely changing the programming that got them here, because she knows what people remember. “It’s not just the programming. It’s the relationships and the people we have in the program,” she says. She has watched the events become a reunion, where the connection in the hallway outlasts anything on the agenda. “The thing that people remember is, oh, I met so-and-so out in the hallway, and that was the highlight.”
The case for space, especially in Canada
Kristina sees a particular gap she is determined to fill. “There needs to be more in-person space for women to network, especially in Canada,” she says. “Being able to create that space is such a privilege.” High Vibe Women has a community, small pop-ups, and retreats, each with its own flavor, but the big events do something the smaller formats cannot. They bring a large group of ambitious women together and let the magic of the room take over. “Women are getting amazing ROI,” she says, and the demand keeps proving it.
Treat your podcast like an asset
On the agency side, Kristina has a pointed message for founders about how they use podcasting and personal brands. She treats her own podcast, Community, as a business in its own right. “If I were to sell all my companies tomorrow, my podcast would be my own asset,” she says. “It’s monetized through sponsors. It’s a revenue stream, so I treat it like a business.”
The same discipline applies to a personal brand. “My brand’s not The Social Snippet, my brand’s not High Vibe Women,” she says. Kristina has learned to build her personal brand along with her businesses to allow her to have more freedom and choices in the future.
People of influence, not influencers
Kristina wants founders to reframe how they think about showing up online. “We need to think of ourselves, rather than as influencers, as people of influence,” she says. “If we’re people of influence, whether that’s a podcast host or guest or someone who posts on social, we have the opportunity to be thought leaders in our space. Especially as women, we need to be taking up that space.”
The barrier to entry is lower than most people assume. “It doesn’t have to be expensive. If you treat it like a marketing channel, a vertical in your business,” she says, the returns compound. “I’ve been podcasting for 4 years this July. We’ve made thousands and thousands off my podcast, not only from sponsorship but from clients. They listen to my podcast first, then they buy from us.”
Build the whole thing together
The thread running through everything Kristina builds is that the pieces are stronger together. The agency, the podcast, the community, and the events are not separate bets. They reinforce one another. Consistency is the engine. “Even if you show up every single week on audio, you’re still going to have listeners, people who are your ride or die,” she says. And increasingly, listeners want to belong to something.
“People are looking for community in their podcasts. How can you band people together?” It's the same question, whether the room is virtual or full of hundreds ofwomen.
