A Note from Shena Moreau

I didn't set out to become an entrepreneur, I set out to survive, and somewhere along the way I realized survival wasn't enough. My path started in a psychology class I only took because it was required for nursing school, and it changed everything. I switched my major to social work, because I wanted to help people from the ground up, not just manage their symptoms. I spent years as a case manager and then in a psychiatric hospital, learning what healing actually requires, and what it doesn't. When I was laid off from my full-time job, I finally stopped ignoring the calling I'd been sitting on for years, and I got licensed and opened Valorous Wellness. The deeper I went with clients, the more I realized talk alone wasn't enough, so I trained in sound healing, breathwork, and nervous system work to bring the body fully into the room. I built Valorous Wellness to be the village so many of us never had, a place where you're reminded to feel what your body has been trying to tell you all along.
