At her core, she’s an advocate for those who would otherwise be voiceless. She co-hosts the hip hop talk show "State of the Culture” on REVOLT TV and has emerged as a powerful media voice in the national conversation where politics, law, justice, sports, and popular culture intersect. Yet, to reach this point, television host, speaker, author and attorney Eboni K. Williams had a challenging journey -- from theater, to law school, to becoming a formidable media personality and advocate. In fact, many would say there was a point when she should have given up (and she almost did). It was the sheer determination of knowing who she was, and must be, that kept her on track for a destiny that materialized in the nick of time. Eboni joins Socialfly co-founders Stephanie Cartin and Courtney Spritzer for a conversation about building her business and career, and describes her journey to success, including: how a spiritual camp helped her save herself, and about the wisdom of leaning into one’s moment of peace; why the decision to go on a date, and being open to approaching something in a different way, allowed a big opportunity; the money impact that no one talks about when you're building a career, and why financial ruin followed Eboni’s big moment of achievement; Eboni’s parallel lives as a lawyer and nightclub bottle service girl; why Eboni made the fateful decision to buy back her book “Pretty Powerful” from the publisher who didn't see things the same way; how focusing on her own agenda guided her through her experience of working at Fox Television and with Bill O’Reilly; why it is foolish to have a platform with no product to sell; how she uses social media to give a glimpse into who she is; and how Eboni went from working for Roger Ailes to Sean Diddy Combs.
