AmyNicole Ellis Turns Repeating Patterns Into a Leadership Practice

A former HR leader building a body of work from 3 bankruptcies and the patterns beneath them.

July 23, 2026

Three bankruptcies. Major resets. Career pivots and relationships that ended. For a long time, AmyNicole Ellis saw those experiences as a scattered list of failures. Then she started asking a different question: what keeps repeating, and what is it trying to show me? That question became the foundation of her business.

AmyNicole Ellis is the founder of Fix Yourself and Flaunt It and the creator of The Interruption Report, a growing body of work focused on the patterns people repeat in their decisions, leadership, communication, and identity. Her background is in human resources, employee relations, and people-centered problem solving. A new member of the Entreprenista League, she is building a leadership-facing pilot for founders and business owners with small teams.

"I stopped seeing repetition as failure and started reading it as data." vHere is how a career spent listening to people, and a personal history she refused to soften, became work built for leaders.

Reading repetition as data

AmyNicole’s HR background trained her to listen closely, ask better questions, and notice what was happening beneath the surface. Her own life pushed the lesson further. After 3 bankruptcies, major resets, and career pivots, she stopped treating repetition as a personal flaw and started treating it as information.

That reframe is the spine of everything she is building around patterns, decisions, identity, and leadership.

A body of work she refused to water down

The accomplishment AmyNicole is proudest of is turning her lived experience into a clear body of work. For years the pieces felt separate. Now, they form a foundation.

"I did not water the story down to make it more comfortable. I built the work from the real thing."

Her honesty is what lets the work speak to founders, leaders, teams, and women who are ready to stop calling themselves broken.

Getting the message into more rooms

Speaking is the front door. Her signature talk, 3 Bankruptcies with Zero Regrets: What Leaders Don’t Know About the Patterns Running Their Decisions, lets her share the message. Now, her work is expanding across formats. She launched a podcast, The Interruption Report, and is continuing work on her book, Unread: The Interruption You Didn’t See Coming.

Who the work is for

AmyNicole is especially focused on founders and business owners with small teams who keep running into the same patterns: repeated communication issues, decision bottlenecks, leadership tension, or team dynamics they can't quite name. Her leadership-facing pilot is being built for the women who sense that something keeps showing up and want to understand what is underneath it.

Showing up, not sitting in the back

AmyNicole is new to the Entreprenista League, and she is clear about how she wants to show up. “Don’t just join the room, participate in it,” she says. She joined for genuine connection, smart conversations, and relationships with room to grow.

Over the next few years, she plans to grow her work through speaking, workshops, podcasting, her book, and business-facing offers, all pointing to one goal: helping leaders read repetition as information.
