Krystal Glover Turned 16 Years of Counseling Into a Candle Brand

June 25, 2026

For 16 years, Krystal Glover sat with people through some of the hardest seasons of their lives. As chief operating officer of a small counseling agency, she helped individuals, families, and communities move through grief, healing, and growth. The work taught her that emotional wellness lives in the small, grounding details of a day. That belief is now poured into wax and stone.

Krystal Glover is the founder and CEO of Phoenix Glow, a brand that hand-crafts candles and gemstone jewelry made to bring warmth, comfort, and meaning into everyday spaces. Every scent, every stone, and every detail is chosen with intention, designed to help people feel more connected to themselves and the rooms they live in. A newer member of the Entreprenista League, Krystal launched Phoenix Glow in October 2025 and is building it alongside two other jobs, with the same care she once brought to the counseling room.

"This isn't just a business; it's a whole vibe. It's a space where energy, artistry, and empowerment meet," Krystal says.

Here is how a career in human-centered support became a brand built to help people glow from within.

From the counseling room to the candle bench

Krystal did not always picture herself as a founder. What she always knew was that she wanted to create something meaningful. After years of supporting others through their healing, she felt a pull toward building something of her own, something that carried the same purpose in a more creative form.

Her background in operations, leadership, and human-centered support became the foundation. The values she leaned on in counseling, emotional wellness, intention, and the importance of safe spaces, now live at the heart of Phoenix Glow. She describes the brand as the next chapter of that work, a more expressive way to help people feel grounded, connected, and seen.

What Phoenix Glow makes

Phoenix Glow hand-crafts candles using a coconut and apricot wax blend with wooden wicks, alongside gemstone jewelry chosen for the energy and meaning behind each stone. Krystal frames the products as more than objects. They are a ritual, a reminder to rise and reconnect.

The mission is simple in her telling. She wants to help people feel more connected to themselves and to the space around them. Empowering the spirit, igniting the journey.

The product she is proudest of

Ask Krystal what she is most proud of, and she points straight to the product itself.

"Every candle, every piece of jewelry, every detail carries my energy, my intention, and my heart," she says. "I've poured so much of myself into creating something meaningful, and knowing that what I make can bring comfort, peace, or a moment of grounding to someone else means everything to me."

She believes in what she creates, and the quiet proof comes from her customers. Hearing that a candle or a piece of jewelry made someone feel calm, grounded, or seen is the win she keeps returning to. "Those moments let me know that what I'm creating is resonating," she says. "It reminds me why I started and why I keep going."

Who Phoenix Glow is for

Krystal makes for spiritually minded people who love candles, crystals, and intentional living. Her customers are often on a healing or self-growth journey. Some are home-aesthetic lovers who want their space to feel warm and peaceful, others are gift buyers searching for something personal and symbolic, and many are crystal and metaphysical enthusiasts who believe in the energy of stones.

What unites them is a desire for objects that mean something. That is the audience Krystal is most focused on reaching now, getting her work in front of the people who will feel the intention behind it.

What's next

Over the next few years, Krystal wants to see Phoenix Glow on shelves in retail shops that value handcrafted, meaningful items. She is also excited to start customizing scents for businesses, creating signature fragrances that reflect a brand's own energy. Growing her online presence and connecting more consistently with her audience rounds out the plan.

Her advice for anyone weighing the leap is grounded in everything she has learned about connection. "Put yourself out there. Don't wait until everything feels perfect," she says. "Ask for what you need. Closed mouths don't get fed." She adds one more thing she wishes she had understood from the start, that connection is about being real, not polished, and that no founder has to figure it out alone.
