Pamela Fritz of Savy Resources Inc. on Leadership Training and Transforming Managers Into Elite Leaders

Pamela Fritz is the President of Savy Resources Inc., a leadership development and HR consulting firm focused on helping managers become confident, effective leaders. After more than two decades in corporate HR roles at companies including Target and Kohl’s, Pamela launched her own business to create a greater impact by developing the next generation of people focused leaders.

Through Savy Resources Inc., Pamela delivers leadership training, coaching, and development programs based on her Company CAR™ framework, designed to help organizations strengthen leadership skills, improve team dynamics, and support newly promoted managers as they step into greater responsibility.

Please share a brief introduction and your business:

After 20 years in HR for Target and Kohl’s, I left the corporate setting to make a greater impact. I founded Savy Resources Inc. to transform managers into elite leaders using my Company CAR™ framework.

Are you a mamaprenista?

Integration is key. Your kids don't always need five hours of your time; 30-60 minutes of truly undivided attention—playing Barbies or a game—is what they will remember.

Take us back to when you launched? What was your marketing strategy?

Intentional networking! I’m in the launch phase, and building a community of "entrepreneurial friends" has been my most effective growth tool.

Did you always know you wanted to be an entrepreneur?

Honestly, I’ve wanted to for a long time, but I was scared. Seeing the freedom my husband had for our family finally gave me the courage to jump.

What accomplishments are you the most proud of to date in your business?

Using my training program and coaching to help clients secure life-changing promotions and career breakthroughs they didn't think were possible.

What is one thing you wish you had known when you started your Entreprenista journey?

I wish I had dove into the community sooner! Getting to events and scheduling 1-on-1s is easily the most beneficial thing you can do for your business.

When hiring, what is your go-to interview question?

"Tell me about a situation where you had to work with a difficult team member or client. How did you manage that relationship?"

What did you do before starting your own business?

21 years in leadership and 16+ years in strategic HR for major retail and wellness brands.

What made you take the leap to start your own business?

My husband’s success inspired me, so I joined the Her Big Leap program during my maternity leave to build my roadmap.

Do you have any recent wins?

Officially launching my 6-month Leadership Training Program and seeing managers transform into true people leaders.

What's one app on your phone that you cannot live without?

Amazon. As soon as I realize something is missing in our lives, I add it to the cart so I can get back to work.

Who are your customers?

Small-to-mid-sized business owners and newly promoted leaders who need HR compliance "tips" and elite leadership soft skills.

What's your top productivity tip?

Be intentional with your networking. Not every group is the right fit, so focus on getting into the rooms where your actual clients are.

What's your favorite business tool?

I love Absorb LMS. It makes the learning experience fun for my Savy Resources University students and is incredibly intuitive for me as an admin.

What's your approach to work-life balance?

I let them mesh! I started #PamSPAM (Spreading Positivity Around Me) posts, and my daughter often jumps into the videos with me. It’s a fun way for us to give back together.

How do you avoid burn-out?

I set an "end time" at the start of each day. While I might have to jump into a task, I aim to reserve my evening hours for my husband and kiddos.

What advice do you have for aspiring Entreprenistas?

My husband asked me: "What do you have to lose? If it doesn't work out, you just return to your current reality—which is already pretty great." That perspective changed everything.

After more than 20 years in strategic HR leadership, Pamela Fritz launched Savy Resources Inc. to equip managers with the leadership skills needed to guide teams with confidence and impact. Today, her leadership training programs continue to help professionals achieve promotions, career breakthroughs, and stronger organizational results.
